In 1984 Steve Jobs could imagine having a discussion with Aristotle. Crazy that’s possible now with an LLM.

I saw 25 people say to listen to this. So I did. I do not regret it. There is a lot to digest here. On many very consequential topics.

Nate Silver uses an MSG VIP-line metaphor to show why multiple voting methods make blue/red shifts predictable and often inevitable — different cohorts arrive at different lines. He argues that’s exactly why we should simplify and speed up how votes are counted

Spend however much you want on marketing. Experiment and explore. But in the end, it’s word of mouth that matters most. Nothing else is as meaningful, or durable.

AI Agents will increasingly perform actions for people. They will buy products, access services, complete transactions, and interact with other machines. That raises a basic question: How does a system know whether to trust an AI agent. Today, to solve this, @proof launches x401, the open protocol for the agentic internet in collaboration with identity leaders at @OpenAI, @Google, @circle, @okta, Mattr, @lightspark, and more. Here @csuwildcat goes into what it all means with me. Available now at x401.id

some people are suffering from an extreme addiction to attention have seen it on here where someone's post blows up and the taste of attention ruins them they end up mechanically searching for anything they can say or do to try and experience it again they end up an empty husk with zero sense of self, pushed to extremes and entirely programmed by the algorithm it's even worse because you can monetize this addiction and make a career out of it and so much of what's wrong with the world is downstream from these people
