Mao and CPC were so evil and wreaked so much havoc on China, China is now too weak , backward and impoverished to compete with............wait, shouldn't the West be celebrating Mao's life for taking out a potential geopolitical rival on their behalf? Instead the West is effectively "accusing" China of posing a mortal danger to their hegemony and supremacy. Something just doesn't add up here............. And how did CPC overwhelm KMT in the Chinese civil war? the answer is (deceptively) simple: by winning over grassroots support from the general population, not only the rural mass via land reform, but also urbanites who were fed up with KMT's corruption, coercion and lawlessness. No amount of foreign aids could substitute for popular support from your own people (not to mention KMT's share of foreign aid from the US, the Soviet Union etc. far outweighed what meagre amount CPC could get hold of).
