US Govt and Trump Admin Data Consolidation and Private Citizen Data Silo Desegregation ✍️
Trump admin + Musks DOGE is currently undergoing a data collection program, enacted by an executive order that consolidates segregated private data on all US citizens.
This system aims to collect all data protected by US privacy and constitutional law on each and every US citizen by combining data silos such as the IRS, Social Security, Treasury, Education Dept, any and all of the dozens of agency databases DOGE has been given carte blanch access to.
These databases contain the most valuable and dangerous data on us including bank accounts, medical information, employers and salaries.
The goal of the executive order is to then create a single unified database. Within this database will be our names. Under our names: every single piece of information that holds immense sway over our financial, personal and familial safety.
👀 Out in the Open:
Imagine a single database that, at any time enforcement agencies wish, can be accessed to obtain total leverage over your life.
This is not a conspiracy. In fact, by making a public executive order and constantly pushing DOGE ‘successes’ they’re not even attempting to hide it. It is right there for all to see.
In order to stop it, we must collectively be willing to see it and willing to fight.
Its disguise is to combat fraud towards govt benefits and taxes. Fair enough, there are ways it could help do this.
📖 Authoritarian Playbook:
However, it is the other ways it can be used that are genuinely scary.
This follows the exact playbook used by authoritarian governments like China and Russia to stifle dissent, track and maintain a police state over its citizens. To a T, these mass databases are how that is achieved. “Similarities” doesn’t cover it; it’s a carbon copy of how major world dictatorships remain in power indefinitely:
“Privacy advocates say that all this data could enable the government to punish its political opponents by weaponizing information about an individual’s personal life (bankruptcies, criminal histories, medical claims) or halting the benefits they receive (housing vouchers, retirement checks, food assistance).” - NYTimes
“They have not demonstrated a single case in which fraud detection has required some universal governmental access to everybody’s data,” said Representative Jamie Raskin, Democrat of Maryland. “In fact, the creation of a monster uniform database of all information on all citizens will be an invitation to fraud and political retaliation against the people.”
🎯 The Perfect Target:
It also creates the perfect target for our enemies.
By placing all our data in a single source it will become the #1 target for cyber attack. Considering our horrendous track record of preventing cyber attacks by Russia and China, this is not only absurdly reckless but uniquely dangerous to every citizen n the USA.
⛵️ The Sailing Ship
Our most dangerous data has already begun to be accessed: the IRS and Social Security databases. This week nearly the entire IRS leadership is resigning out of protest to this data being handed over freely to Homeland Security, effectively gutting the last remaining honorable oversight of the agency. Simultaneously DOGE has been fighting relentlessly to obtain zero restriction access to Social Security databases, both of which have already been accessed by DOGE employees.
So far some of this access has been blocked by lower courts. At the same time an appeals court reversed course and allowed DOGE to access the Treasury, Education Dept and Office of Personnel Management databases.
💻 The Data
In this thread are over 250 datapoints, identified by the NYTimes, contained within 23 databases held by 8 govt agencies they are accessing. Next is how agencies obtain that data.
