GTA 6 really made an entire generation develop patience as a personality trait!! What if it doesn't release on November 19 2026 as well? What will be your reaction?

@aayushchugh can you share the model? how's your experience with it and why no standard 4k. I know ultrawide is wide hehe but i heard some scaling issues with it.

MacOS is the best; it has a really good user interface, and it also has a really good command line support. That's why most of the developers prefer a mac

Eating eggs is not being vegetarian. If you think it’s not, then you are just mentally vegetarian. Let that sink in.

I wnna try this. I already deployed the backend on a VPS with docker + coolify and it's really a decent experience so far 🤞 But for the db I haven't tried self hosting. WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ON HOSTING A DB? WHICH OPTION IS GOOD CONSIDERING BACKUPS, STAGING AND MIGRATIONS?

Antigravity 2.0 does not even have an "IDE". Is that Google's way of saying: "you need not look at the code anymore"?

First, the cloud gave us abstractions that made it easier to forget failure. Infrastructure became someone else's problem, and many systems were designed around happy paths with reliability added later ... managed services remain up ... Now, it is an AI speed-at-all-costs culture that is forcing us to ship code that just works 80% of the time, because it is okay if things fail 20% of the time, but we need to ship faster. Software was supposed to be predictable. Somewhere along the way, we started treating reliability as a tradeoff, and it is now becoming the norm. I do hope we come back to building software that people can depend on and something we are proud of.

@askwhykartik There is a company who has there entire business model dependent on selling no code solutions to clients. When clients ask what to do if in the future we need to make some heavy changes, they say we can export code from no code easily. 😭

A client ignored my advice and built their entire MVP using "no-code is enough" advice from a random YouTube guru. Six months later, they hit a scaling wall. Complete rewrite needed. Cost them double. Please stop taking technical architecture advice from people who have never actually shipped a product.

@adxtyahq Yup this is the dark side. I’m also experiencing the same from past few months. And this situation majorly happens in product based companies where we are also eager to make great product 🥲

sometimes feels like my job gets harder every single day handling 100’s of edge cases is exhausting because even a single one can mess things up badly most of the work isn’t even building new stuff anymore, it’s fixing existing systems so neither us nor customers have to suffer later spending 2-3 hours daily brainstorming weird scenarios, testing edge cases and making sure fixing one thing doesn’t break three others building reliable systems is lowkey just surviving edge cases everyday
