When something goes wrong in my life, it’s easy for my brain to jump in and start pointing fingers (mostly at myself). For example, I’ve been trying to write a blog post every Sunday (or the occasional Monday). I recently missed my first week.

The sun is dying. One man wakes up alone in space with no memory of how he got there. And yet somehow Project Hail Mary is the most optimistic movie I've seen this year.

Thankfully, I’ve gotten a little better at responding to myself over the years. One practice that helps is trying to talk to myself like a friend. (If you’re like me, you’re much gentler when helping friends than yourself.)

In this week’s post… 1 year anniversary – thank you to all who have stopped by to check out a post! Also, as I get older, the days go slow, yet the years fly by. I’m so focused on trying to get somewhere that I forget how so many habits are endless. For example, writing is an endless practice. The doing is the whole point. In this week’s post… “The Simpsons” is often exalted for its ability to “predict” the future. Instead, I’m more impressed at how the show has become a sort of historical record over its 37 seasons.
