@ToonPolls He’s just another ref who adores the limelight and thinks fans are here to see him. Absolutley loves stopping the game and making a spectacle of every little decision. Can see why they chose him for that ref cam thing, the bloke adores it. Truly horrendous officiating.

I have absolutely no complaint with the result but my goodness that Ref Jarred Gillett was abysmal.
So so weak. Just let Villa take the piss all game. Feigning injury and time wasting.
He couldn’t even write up a yellow card without stopping the game. Utter shite. #NUFC

How many of those that jeered tonight were the same fans shitting themselves at the prospect of losing Rogers in the summer?
A serious lack of brain power sometimes. Neanderthals. #avfc

@1OnkarSingh Sad but I agree. We need to win Bologna and both the leagues games before the next intl break. Feyenoord would be a bonus

Unfortunately if we dont get a W in the next 2 league games Emery will probably be gone (before next intl break) ful & bur. Performances are dreadful and not improving is the biggest concern IMO. Level of games played is V concerning. Today was laughable - selection & perf #AVFC

What we need and what we’ll actually get by the end of this transfer window are, in my opinion, two very different things. The owners want to strengthen, and the manager is desperate for quality additions across several areas. But with the financial rules as complex and restrictive as they are, neither will truly get what they desire.
This summer has already seen a significant clear-out, with the squad trimmed and the wage bill reduced dramatically. That will please the powers that be, but it doesn’t suddenly free us to move in the market as aggressively as we’d like.
There will be more outgoings, and I firmly believe a few players will still arrive. The real question is what the squad will look like come 7pm next Monday — and right now, that’s anyone’s guess.
Whatever happens, we’ll have to accept it and make the best of what has felt like a summer to forget. All we can hope is that by the time the dust settles, we’re not only celebrating three points against Palace, but also looking at a squad in far better health than it appears today.

@Mattyyyy_M @ManUtd 21 points would be amazing for you, its half of what you got last season!
