Why: The O’Keefe Media Group released undercover footage of Hugg disclosing sensitive information to an undercover journalist posing as a date in a public restaurant. In the footage, he allegedly:
Confirmed the US still possesses nerve agents and that a US Army chemist recently died from exposure
Revealed how nuclear launch decisions are made in real time
Discussed the possibility of assassinating Iran’s next supreme leader, while also saying “we’re not going to nuke anybody”
Claimed Ukrainians used US taxpayer money to buy mansions.

Context: He could be stuck for over a year because the lawyer for deepfake victim BongBong has officially petitioned South Korean prosecutors to appeal the sentence, calling it too light and requesting a ruling from a higher court.
Prosecutors officially submitted an appeal, meaning a second trial is now locked in and that process could take a year or more, with Somali remaining in detention the entire time. While the appeal plays out, he’s not in a regular prison he’s in a pre-appeal detention center with six people per cell, one shower per week, and only rice and soup served.
Bottom line is because both sides can appeal and South Korean court processes move slowly, if the appeal process itself takes longer than six months, authorities can legally keep him detained beyond his original sentence. So he could end up serving far more time than the original verdict called for.

Context on the charges:
Federal prosecutors allege she and her brother stole $5 million in federal disaster funds stemming from an overpayment related to COVID-19 vaccinations to their family’s health care company. She has also been charged with participating in a straw donor scheme to conceal illicit money flowing to her campaign, and conspiring to file a false federal tax return.
Last month, an adjudicatory subcommittee found “clear and convincing evidence” that she had committed 25 of 27 ethics violations. The Ethics Committee was set to recommend a sanction, with an expulsion effort led by colleagues expected to follow. She said the committee’s investigation was “not a fair process,” accusing the panel of preventing her from defending herself, and called it “a witch hunt.” She denied any wrongdoing.
Her resignation prior to any floor action took pressure off fellow Democrats, many of whom had hedged about whether they would vote with Republicans to expel her. With her resignation, the Ethics Committee lost jurisdiction over her case.

Full Context: Angelica Vasquez filed legal paperwork last week in Los Angeles. She claims she started working for Kylie as a housekeeper at her Beverly Hills home in September 2024, then was moved to her Hidden Hills home, where she reported to a woman named Elsi and head housekeeper Patsy. Vasquez says she was “treated with hostility and exclusion” from the start, and was “belittled and humiliated in front of coworkers” due to her race, national origin, and religious beliefs. She says she was told “Catholics are horrible people” and was mocked or intimidated about her immigration status, including comments about deportation. She claims she was deliberately assigned difficult duties, scolded frequently, had fingers snapped at her by superiors, and that a supervisor threw hangers at her when she protested the abuse. Vasquez developed anxiety and symptoms consistent with PTSD because of the workplace environment. She says she resigned in August 2025 after her complaints were allegedly ignored. Damages for unpaid wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages.
Sources “familiar with Kylie’s household” say Angelica had attendance issues and other workplace concerns. Importantly, while Kylie is listed as a defendant, the allegations do not appear to directly involve Kylie herself just her staff and their failure to address complaints.
