@ruerorda This 100%. Even ZZZ has made a nice step forward in presentation (which was already above HSR) in 3.0. With that, HSR’s presentation is a 1/10 with its nearest competitor being probably a 7/10. Its to the point I wouldnt recommend the game to anyone because of presentation alone

Star rail is being held by the people’s love for the main cast, intriguing characters, and plot. The thing is, the devs need to step up in the presentation department, events, and others because it’s apparent that HSR is lagging behind its competitors in this regard.

@BuildXueyi My motivation was SW and Blade and now that their patches have passed, not sure how much more ill play. Have no interest in the upcoming characters

My sole motivator for playing this game for a really long time now has been whatever is in the next two patches, and I think that's pretty bad

@ByteStix People like this are just boomers stuck in a dated mentality. They believe a real job is a boring 9-5 that you hate working at a desk for some pointless company that amounts to nothing. You clearly love content creation which in my mind makes it the true “better” job

It's wild that people still think a man in his 30s making a full-time living off of creating gaming content is childish. Like, we get flown out to gaming conventions, do live gaming showcases for million-dollar studios, in front of thousands of people, create content that reaches millions of viewers per month. But just because it's covering "video games," it lessens the validity of what we do? Would I be a grown up working a 9-5 at Best Buy? Would I be a grown up sitting behind a desk at a bank? No shade to any other profession, but genuinely, why does doing what I do make my job inferior to yours? Some days I put in 18-hrs straight fulfilling sponsored obligations. I've been in LA working from AM 'til 9PM every day for the last 10 days straight, away from home, moving between 5 different hotels, working with over a dozen different studios on pre-and post-release games. But because I sit down in front of a computer and record myself, I'm not a grown up? C'mon. You can be an adult and play video games. You can also be an adult and create content on video games. This mentality of "you need an old traditional job" is dated and honestly quite cumbersome.

@StygianResurge I agree and I love the game. Been investing into Elation since SW is my favorite character but still, HSR is one of 2 games im taking a break from because I want to play some other new games (GBF Relink, Atelier etc). Of my 5 gachas, HSR is one of two id say are struggling atm

star rail is in a pretty bad state right now its not really crazy to say that and i dont get why people defend it with their lives

@zombiow Thats half of it the other half is SW commits the unforgivable sin of an HSR character. You occasionally have to THINK, and not just auto for pretty colors. I do have E2 but managed a 0 cycle on the AA king bug but had to actually plan ahead and time ult uses and shit

@Sensha_ @R4zORsh4rpo I know this is also unpopular but graphics/presentation matters A LOT to me. Its why I literally cant play retro games. So thats where Wuwa really shines. It looks amazing and is presented beautifully. Feels like a playable (albeit standard shonen harem) anime

Wuwa story doesnt reinvent the wheel but it does a standard fantasy story well. I dont need groundbreaking, I just want a well written and well presented story

@NotTwoby @faapuella I dont disagree that gacha as a monetization model is predatory, it absolutely is. Where we disagree is the first part, I believe that some of these games are high quality enough to be good despite the bad monetization model

@contract_zero_ @faapuella It’s not something you should be looking past. I’ll agree a lot of gacha games could be good if there was no gacha in them, but the practice is incredibly scummy and predatory.

@umbren1 Amphoreus would be a 9+ if HSR had even passable story presentation. But it doesnt. I love the game, but its presentation is bad to the point it makes the story nearly impossible to enjoy. Due to that, I give Amphoreus a 7 and im being generous, I want to rank it lower

NTE has successfully captured my attention this patch and hyper targeted me 😩 Will be a for fun casual game I play from time to time but oh man Shinku looks HOT AND BADASS The second form is like Mirajane from FT, so sick and crazy for the design. Can’t be tempted further tho
