@coolbooter Really good work man! but my iBooks kept crashing on my ipad mini running on iOS 6, is there any ways to fix it?
English

CoolBooter 1.6 is now available via our Cydia repo. Changes include... coolbooter.com/changelog-10-9…

@lukasapplefan it’s a known issue that the dataprotection workaround currently doesn’t function as intended in this build; we’re working on a fix
English

@lukasapplefan in simple terms, no-effaceable-storage is a property that can be added to installations of iOS 6 and later that essentially negates any keybag issues that plagued earlier versions of CoolBooter, such as incorrect wifi passwords on the secondary OS as well as bootloops
English

@coolbooter And could you please tell me what no-effaceable-storage is ?
English

@lukasapplefan The dataprotection workaround is applied automatically upon installation. In regards to iOS 5 support: it is temporarily disabled as iOS 5 does not natively support no-effaceable-storage, and we are looking into how to implement it ourselves.
English

@coolbooter The Data Protection workaround doesn't seem to be applied anymore from what I can tell, apps that require the workaround like Podcasts on iOS 6 used to work in the previous version but no longer work here. Could you please fix this?
English

@coolbooter does the latest version of coolbooter not have protected volume support?
English

@AirSwap4 this is all fixed in the cli betas, use them instead until i stop being lazy and update the app
English

@InvoxiPlayGames udid should be the same across installs, you might have a mac address set in nvram that is only acknowledged on iOS 8 and below, try running “nvram -d wifiaddr”, then reboot and see if the issue persists
English

@RealiMuseum it was detached the entire time you were in the main OS before booting? panicking isn’t exactly part of the process so i can at least assure you it wasn’t normal
English

@RealiMuseum in this case the likely issue is if you had a lightning cable attached before booting, you should either keep the cable attached when you boot or just reboot, then boot with it detached
English

@RealiMuseum it'd help if you mention the OS you installed, or any info whatsoever other than "it's broken". I do most testing on 5c. it worked fine for me for most OS's except 9.1.
English

@lukasapplefan @RealiMuseum *pushes updates regularly*
*doesn't tweet for a week*
"lol its dead guys"
🙄
English

@RealiMuseum @coolbooter @coolbooter seems to be dead 💀 but maybe you can try dual booting an other version or try the CLI or app and downgrade CoolBooter it self
English

@LuneCode try using the cli instead of the app. it fixed most of these issues and i haven't had enough time to update the app recently
English

@JeremyReyesC if you saved your blobs before you can downgrade using odysseus or similar tools, also many times cydia has your blobs so check there if needed. i can assist with the procedure if needed, though it's best to continue in DM for that
