Day 8 of growing a Gen Z Social Commentary YouTube Channel all naturally. Things are going great, one video just hit 1,000 views! First 5 videos are looking nice, I'm going to grow it to at least 100 subscribers before showing it off. Social media showed me my girlfriend with another guy when I was 14. Comments and all. My dad's generation got their heartbreak in private. Mine got it as content. We're the first generation raised with an audience for our worst moments and nobody knows what that did to us yet.

Wether my video is a 10/10 it’s the worst out of the last 10 I uploaded or it’s a 1/10 where fucking fireworks pop off on the screen and I get congratulated, my heart is racing, my mind is rushing and dopamine is either flowing or being blocked by numbers.

Vibe bro here's what I'm looking at New video hasn't popped and clickthrough rate is 2% so changed thumbnail/title A/B test a few moments ago. Video before that just hit 2k views and got me 30 subs which is awesome. It's important to not let the bad performance on a video negatively impact your workflow. Consistency is key and it unlocks knowledge. This is a Gen Z social commentary channel on it's 5th video, keep up your work dude we'll both get monitization ASAP at this rate!

Growing up poor isn't a personality trait. But it is a cheat code for seeing through every system designed to keep you where you are.

I made $22.50 an hour at a charity thrift store in northern Ontario. That was the most I'd ever earned. And I remember standing there thinking this is it? Not because the money was bad. Because I was spending 40 hours a week becoming someone I didn't choose to be. That's the part nobody names. It's not that the job underpays you. It's that it slowly replaces you. 32% of Canadian Gen Z are working below their education level. 46% are outside the field they actually wanted. And the conversation stays focused on wages, benefits, promotions. Nobody talks about the identity cost. The slow-motion version of yourself that builds up when you're somewhere you were never supposed to be. I left. Not because I had a plan. Because I could feel what staying was doing to me. If I can do it you can do it, believe in yourself.

The most dangerous advice anyone ever gave me was "just be grateful you have a job." Grateful for what? The privilege of trading my best years for someone else's profit margin? Swag, I love it yo😂

My dad spent most of my childhood in jail. My teachers told me I'd end up the same. I got expelled at 16. Had a kid. Walked out of a house fire at 19 with nothing but a PC and bare feet. Now I make content for a living. The system writes you off early and then acts surprised when you prove it wrong. Go Canada! 🇨🇦

As a Canadian Content Creator (full time came from min wage) independent journalism isn't as mainstream out here as US. Most our guys who do cover this stuff don't climb past 100k subscribers, financially it's hard as the country is so big it leads to long compute time. I myself would love to do more in real life content but the system shifted me away from it. Unless we got a Canadian Content Creator who's nepo'd up and willing to risk having their accounts seized for hate speech then it won't happen. That's just my opinion tho.

Quick question… Why does Canada, with a population of 41.5 million people, need a 23 year old kid from Utah ( Nick Shirley ) to come to Canada to expose obvious fraud & corruption? Don’t get me wrong, I love what he’s doing down there but come on…

My dad was just fucking elected to the Danish Parliament because of TikTok. One of the craziest political stories EVER in Denmark. It was the tightest race for a seat in Danish HISTORY… He won by just 2 votes over his fellow candidate. Literally 2 people made the difference. Just a week ago his campaign was dead in the water and we didn’t think he’d make it. Until I stepped in… I’ve been an expert in going viral on TikTok and social media since 2021. Since starting my own company I’ve achieved: 2+ billion organic views. 2.7+ million followers. 120+ million likes. As a last attempt to turn things around, I made a plan to rebrand the otherwise “old-school” and (sorry dad), slightly boring @AllanFeldt_ into something the youth could get behind. I had 4 days to pull off a miracle. 4 days to make a difference. I went hard on the male 18-24 segment and built a brand around “Allan Aura”. It resulted in 2.2 million organic views, 115,000 likes, 18,000 shares and thousands of comments. (Denmark has 6 million citizens btw) A tight and incredible victory for my dad who is now a member of the Danish Parliament. Two votes. Twice as many as we needed.

The scariest thing about minimum wage isn't the pay. It's how fast you start building your whole life around it. New apartment near work. Friends who work the same shifts. Routine that feels like stability. Then one day you realise the cage got comfortable and you decorated it.

growing up in a small town your circle doesn't shrink gradually. it gets taken from you. death, betrayal, or just going in directions nobody else is going.

lost a friend to death, a mentor to betrayal, and a whole real life circle to just… growing in different directions. i was 21 for all of it.
