@ALANMYERSMEDIA Looks pretty likely that Spurs will need at least something on the last day. We still have West Ham as well, so we are definitely going to be part of how it all turns out. We might need to win both to keep our own hopes alive. Much rather be where we are this time around.

@Kirkham81 Thats the worst of it to be honest. The hike is one thing but to add that sort of cost just to spread it (because thats best for you) is a kick in the teeth. I hoped that we would be reasonable with increases. Inflation ok. 5% tops. Not great at all. Feel for eveyone

@mintisculture @Everton @Everton_TheGear Neville is the one I would choose. Just not sure that he should be remembered for a moment where he was cheesed off at what was going on at the club rather than his amazing contribution to the club as a goalkeeper of the highest quality.

This works on so many levels and could be the most fitting design for a player with an impeccable record - incredible work ethic and passion, commitment, and understanding of what it means to play for Everton Football Club. Maybe it serves as a reminder of the expectations - and the bare minimum required of players coming through, seen from the perspective of one of our greatest players and the fans themselves. Can’t think of a player more fitting to set that tone in this way than Southall. The fact that the concept came from a fan makes it even more unique. 🧤 ©️@Everton_TheGear

Lots of people won't agree with the story behind this Neville Southall image & that's fair enough. I just like the idea of something other than a generic statue put in a bit of space. Here he is sitting at the stadium plaza steps, looking out over the River Mersey towards Wales.

I live nextdoor to a pair of Reform voters. They are a pair of the unhappiest, most unpopular and least successful people I have ever met. I'm not sure how thay expect Reform to improve their lives.

🚨 Napoli confirm Romelu Lukaku did not return to training today despite their request for him to rejoin the group in Naples. The club adds he could face disciplinary action. Understand Lukaku is dealing with a new complication rather than only addressing a lack of fitness following his hamstring injury. Lukaku has an inflamed hip flexor and fluid close to some scar tissue. This was identified only after he arrived in Belgium to undergo a personal training programme. Following this evaluation, all medical documentation has been sent to Napoli. Those close to Lukaku also insist his rehabilitation work has been shared on a daily basis while absent from the group. Yet Napoli insist that "the club reserves the right to decide whether to take appropriate disciplinary action, as well as whether to continue the player's activity with the squad on a permanent basis."

I hope @friedkingroup understand CMC Capital Markets would be an unacceptable shirt sponsor to Everton fans Founder Peter Cruddas: A disgraced corrupt Tory politician (anathema to Evertonians) made a peer by a corrupt Tory pm despite failing vetting He would taint our brand

Our @AHunterGuardian nails it here. Football fans, Evertonians in particular, are not naive enough to think the Premier League will be fair and well-governed but the shamelessness of the double standards on display this week is still breathtaking

I think any progressive and ambitious Premier League club should now spend whatever they like and push the boundaries way past compliance. Because if you only receive a paltry fine for adding players who materially helped you win trophies then it's worth it. Was massively pro spending rules but clubs illegal spending prior to PSR isn't being punished at all and I bet those clubs are pissing themselves, all while clubs with the money to compete with them today are having to audit every fucking toilet roll, with promising home grown players being horsetraded like meat in order to comply with PSR. Clubs and supporters should always support rules which protect our clubs from themselves at times, but dishing out fines that some clubs can find from the back of the boardroom sofa while directly profiting from the players "illegally" purchased makes a mockery of the system.
