As a reviewer, I need people to understand that qualitative research is not just vibes. You can’t just say you “did thematic analysis” and then present research based on vibes alone.

@sdacaricatures Andrews has been on the decline for years. They’re being severely mismanaged and because they’re unwilling to make changes, it alienates the students and faculty. It’s sad, but at the end of the day the institution is worried about making enough money to keep the lights on 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not saying Andrews University's President Taylor and the GC leaders who installed him are racist...it's just that they did what you would expect someone who IS racist to do.

What most Americans don’t realize is that < half of veterans are eligible for VA health benefits. Most veterans are ineligible/denied for reasons dictated by federal law and rules set by Congress, not @DeptVetAffairs.

Leaving academia was the best thing I ever did for my mental health. I’m glad so many colleagues seem to thrive in academia, but for me personally, my self worth was tied up way too much in my success as an academic. For those of you considering industry work, it’s worth it!
