i think a lot of people forget that the job of the showrunner and writers is to draw in an audience so when that audience is disappointed/let down they’re allowed to express that

i miss the old rookie when we had a bunch of episodes with them on patrol. THATS what we want. not 1000 storyline’s thrown together in one ep, or old villains or characters brought back who no one likes, or episodes focused on a firefighter
