Y’all might wonder why we like the #Midwest. Let me give you a brief overview:
1. Cockroaches aren’t flying (yet).
2. We get to relax and have fun in the winter because everything outside is dead.
3. We get to experience all four seasons, even though they’re pretty fucked up these days.
4. Most everyone is nice here.
5. Most don’t want to live here unless you’re a functional alcoholic.
6. It’s absolutely beautiful here in its own way, but it has to be in your blood to appreciate it.

Unknowingly nominated for an award at work, I’ve only been bloody SHORTLISTED!
But I’m in the same category as badass clinicians, so my journey, rightly so, will end here I’m sure (no getting on stage at the annual awards ceremony in a glitzy dress- le sigh) but still! Buzzing!

Whilst my sons at bass lessons I’m working on my presentation in the car and yes I’ve blurred the slides- I’m not ready for that level of feedback yet.

Tried moving littlest’s bed along the back wall… turns out it absolutely does not fit.
Unfortunately we only discovered this minor detail AFTER emptying his entire room and dismantling the bed.

Today's definitely bittersweet for me. It would have been my 10th wedding anniversary. But, it's also 9 years since my dad passed away. 2 of the most important people in my life. No one could ever replace them. Not a day goes by that my husband and my dad aren't on my mind. (1/4)

I shall now become unbearably smug for 48 business hours.

I decided to leave the salon. I'm constantly giving my all and going out of my way not only to get clients but to appease them. I have been told for years now that weekends are required so I have missed out on weekends with my children, which is time I will never get back.
