@Ghinitchi @Non_C0nnoisseur If you genuinely want to know, there’s many papers and books about women’s consumption of gay media that can give you a better understanding of why this happens. For your character, does he need past male partners to be represented as bi? It’s good to question that too sometimes

@copper_freckles @Non_C0nnoisseur I’m only writing it because this bisexual male character I have has had male partners and I want to be able to show that a little. I don’t personally understand the appeal this type of relationship has to so many women though so I’m asking questions.

@Ghinitchi @Non_C0nnoisseur If you feel that, then you should ask yourself why are you writing about a gay couple in the first place and not something else. Also, I consider you can’t decide if your work is representation or not, that’s up to the community that is in your work.

@Non_C0nnoisseur hm. I'm conflicted. I'm writing gay couples and I don't want them to be stereotyped yaoi because I do not view them as appealing in the same way straight cis women usually do and because I do believe representation matters (not that everything needs to bethat though)
