It’s an MS Paint-style meme, intentionally simple, so anyone can jump in, have fun, and feel instantly welcomed. That’s the magic of it. But I get it, you’re speaking from a place of frustration. Axie was my first ever game in web3. The depth of the game and how it intertwined with the economy is what sucked me in and had me playing for years. Let's be real here, Sky Mavis paved the way for web3 gaming and most P2E games straight up followed their blueprint. At first, I thought they’d pivot away from making the next generation of web3 games and just focus on the ronin network, enabling other builders. But boy, did they prove me wrong and impress me above and beyond again. This Axie MMO? It’s all the knowledge and experience Sky Mavis has stacked up, poured into one incredible game. Easy to learn and play, incredibly fun graphics for all ages of gamers, a PvP combat system with depth, and that MMO economy empowering the web3 elements that's chased for. Being able to use your forever Axies, farming, leveling, PvP, guild wars, social interactions, we can see it all. I showed the trailer to my wife, and she instantly loved it(she was literally smiling ear to ear while watching it). She said she’s excited to try the game. Not something I ever get to hear from her so that’s huge. 🥰 If it’s worked on her and I can see myself dedicating my time to playing with a good economic loop + combat system, I think we got an absolute COOKER on our hands. When the game drops, all eyes will be on Axie and Ronin. We know what Axie did in the last cycle, I got a feeling we could be seeing something similar again. But this time, with a much more balanced economic loop and a game everyone can play, it’s gonna hit different. Sky Mavis about to put Web3 gaming on their backs again. ⚔️😤
