@Biff234523 This gives me pause: "as long as you’re feeling okay." My 1st ever infection was end of Aug. Minimal 'cold' symptoms followed by brutal long covid which very much persists 9 weeks later. I'm excited about the prospect of a Novavax booster, but wondering if I'm still too sick?

I always get this question a lot, when Novavax inevitably rolls out right after a significant summer wave: To be clear, as long as you’re feeling okay without any acute illness symptoms, you can get your Novavax booster as soon as you want following a COVID infection (or any viral illness). There’s no inherent need to wait. It’s actually a good thing for you to get it sooner, since we know that Novavax is beneficial for helping your immune system fight the persistent virus that is left behind by an infection. For some reason, it’s become popular in the COVID-conscious community to parrot government recommendations of waiting anywhere from 3 and 6 months following an infection. I have absolutely no idea why folks feel compelled to do that, but it’s no different from the original herd immunity and “vax & relax” strategies. Those recommendations only begin to make any sort of sense if you have an assumption of robust infection-induced immunity that simply doesn’t match up with reality. And they were aimed at providing people with as much convenience as they could possibly muster. And like I said, they also require the assumption that viral persistence isn’t an issue (which is wrong) or that Novavax isn’t likely to provide any benefits in fighting it (which is wrong). If you’re getting Novavax following a dose of mRNA, then there’s a recommendation to wait for 2 months. Which is based on CDC eligibility guidelines, and also avoids elevating the extremely small myocarditis risk above baseline.

@aRealCapitalist @diannahaze Wow. I always thought with PEM the idea was to keep the heart rate down, but that's presumably when the reason is because of exercise - movement. The sauna's different. Amazing.

@corbcello @diannahaze Your heart rate will go up the longer in the sauna. After about 15 minutes my HR will go from 65 - 135. 135 is my target HR for aerobic exercise higher is cardio limit. It's like exercising but without the physical strain. I sauna a few hours (3-4) before I go to sleep.

Am I the only one who feels like “pacing” seems impossible? 3 years into this disease and it just seems so… not human to rest SO much. I feel like I’m keeping myself sick because I’m incapable of pacing. 😩 Anyone have suggestions for how to do it? #LongCOVID #mecfs

@aRealCapitalist @diannahaze "...spiking my HR in a sauna." This is fascinating. Can you say more? I have an infrared in my house and have wondered if it may be of use in some way.

@diannahaze For me it came down to watching my heart rate. I found spiking my HR in a sauna allowed me to maintain energy levels. This also gave me 10 - 20% more time in deep sleep. Mitochondria love deep sleep, and I went from 8 hours of poor-quality sleep to 6 hours of rejuvenating sleep.

@Riemerville @AMLOWN1 I just started it and am taking considerably more. The dosage (it's in powder form; per scoop) is 3000 mg. Perhaps I don't need to be taking it twice a day. Btw thanks so much for your posts; it's really heartening to hear when things are helping.

@DonEford Two questions: 1) How long to wait after (1st ever) covid infection before receiving Novavax again? 2) Previous Novavax Apr 2024 & Jan 2025. After the next one, should the one after that be 6 months hence, or 2? Wondering because the initial priming series didn't happen. Thanks!

People discussing how their Long COVID symptoms are improving after receiving the Novavax COVID vaccine have begun appearing on social media. This is a big f--king deal, because I proved YEARS ago that Long COVID and even other chronic illnesses are driven by general persistence of pathogens with the reduction in symptoms after multiple doses of Novavax. The reason you haven't been able to access Novavax is because the mechanism that increases the breadth of your antibodies... Increases the breadth of ALL your antibodies, not just COVID. So, that persistent virus that mutated just outside of your immune range created at the start of your infection is now vulnerable to your immune system. With Novavax, we aren't just protecting you from COVID... We are crushing the chronic illness industry by giving your immune system the tools to beat your chronic illness, IF a persistent pathogen is driving it... However, almost all pathogens are persistent to some extent. The mechanism is in the adjuvant... We could probably just administer the adjuvant alone and observe a reduction in chronic illness across the board... And that's precisely what we are going to do. Buckle up, because this was never just about COVID. However, you can also get the best protection against that novel virus at the same time.

@DonEford They'll be annoyed because persistence won't be solved, or because it will? Or because persistence-denial will finally stop?

I said last year was going to be Novavax... And this year was going to be about solving persistence. I think a lot of folks are going to be very annoyed by how this year ends.

@Saffiya_Khan1 I think it'll continue be a trickle - not a dam. There's no motion to speak of at the level of healthcare providers, and many take their cues from them. The trickle as I see it anecdotally is that a FEW more people seem open to masking in airports/on planes - but nowhere else.

@DonEford I'm a first timer & would LOVE correct information. "Rest 6 wks - 2 months" - but what does that actually look like? I was planning on getting my third Novavax when it arrives this fall, but now should I wait? And supplements - so many suggestions. Advice welcome!

I warn you that the most popular COVID-conscious influencers are not creating safety, and that their plans are mass infection with extra steps. One by one, I see their people see their first COVID infections. And then have infections that last longer than a week because they are not being given the correct information to fight COVID. These people are just creating Long COVID cases. It's sickening that almost no one can see what's happening.

@SueEC999 Cults tend to disintegrate when they lose their leader & there's no reason to think this one'll be any different. Vance has the charisma of a potato & won't be able to garner the fealty that TraitorTot inspires. But the question remains, how much evil infrastructure will survive?

Serious Question: The GOP in Congress lined up behind 47 and did whatever he told them to do. Will JD have the same power over them, or will we see a lot of infighting and chaos?

@joshua_in_c When I was in hospital after a bike accident in '23 I listened to Emily Mayer's 7th a LOT. In that environment/state of being I think music can "go in" in a different way because we're so vulnerable. I came out feeling as if I'd been listening to that work my entire life.
