Behold! The God of Hellfire (aka Arthur Brown) sent me four more hand-painted, autographed stage masks! These photos are about as close as I get to a selfie.
In case you don’t know, Arthur is widely considered the godfather of “shock rock,” having been cited as a singular influence by luminaries such as Alice Cooper, KISS, David Bowie (yes, really), and Marilyn Manson. Arthur’s signature song “Fire” (a huge international hit in 1968) features him donning a burning helmet on stage. He also essentially invented “space rock” and helped shape prog rock with his band Kingdom Come.
Off stage, though, he is mild-mannered, funny, kind, and brimming with intelligence. I know firsthand because he and his partner/manager Claire met me for dinner last year. No joke! We spent nearly six hours chatting about spirituality, music, food, and animals. It was one of the best nights of my life. Apparently I’m the only “fan” (I’m not a fan of the word “fan”) he’s ever met in such a context. I was supremely honored!

We are going for a walk in the sunshine ☀️My husband is recovering really well and is able to walk using his walking stick with confidence. I'm so proud of him❤️ He has been through the mill these past few months but he's getting back to himself again each day🥰 #strokesurvivor
