this was how I got my google internship in 2021 actually. really unique program, having enough search queries like "dependency injection" or "mutex lock" would show you this popup and you had to solve a series of 5 challenges to automatically get an interview excited for whatever the next iteration of this looks like with claude code/codex!

Varunram Ganesh@varunram

In the early-mid 2010s, if your search history was really good, Google would automatically invite you to foo bar and solving that would get you an interview at Google Now, if your agent history is really good on GStack, YC will (soon) automatically fill your YC application and that would get you into YC YC is the agent native YC

@ImAureus @GentleDoofus This isn’t a knock on Leo btw. He’s still an all time Great. But in terms of a pure dramatic leading man stage and film: Denzel takes that honor. He’s follows the mold of Sidney Poitier, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart.

People really need to realize that many native New Yorkers live on this income or around it. Most influencers are transplants that make astronomical amounts. Love to see content like this!

Haha brilliant (the 7 should be a 6 but it literally does resolve to 55)—well, ‘that’s Life: {5}’ as they say. 😂

The word "psychedelic" was invented during a poetry battle. Aldous Huxley proposed "phanerothyme" with the line: "To make this mundane world sublime, take half a gram of phanerothyme." Psychiatrist Humphry Osmond countered: "To fathom Hell or soar angelic, just take a pinch of psychedelic." Osmond won. He debuted the word at the New York Academy of Sciences in 1957. We almost ended up calling them "phanerothymes."

It works on literally every alphabetical language, actually. If you’re too stupid to know what a clear semantic pattern is, move along—or, I’m pleased to keep using you as an opportunity to share more for non-morons out there. Let’s take the first ten digits of Pi (π): 3.1415926535 3+1+4+1+5+9+2+6+5+3={39} Now, did you know the ancients would divide 22 by 7 for a close approximation of Pi? TWENTY TWO 2+5+5+5+2+7+2+5+6={39} I wonder if any other ‘circle-like’ words show up on the {39} frequency? Oh, they do (not the whole list but don’t want to overwhelm you). {39}: Creation|Expression: {3} crossing {+} into Universal Wisdom|Completion: {9} resolving to {12}: Unity|Initiation: {1} crossing {+} into Duality|Relation: {2} resolving to Creation|Expression: {3} (i.e. ‘a perfect circle’)

@Binkje4 @tuckerisonx @maerdtoof you can't seriously believe LLMs haven't improved in the last 3 years, and if you do, you haven't used the current SOTA models

Contrary to popular belief, the high unemployment rate for CS grads is less due to AI replacing jobs and more due to the massive volume of incompetent new grads who just cheated their way to their degree using Chegg and AI and probably can’t even solve FizzBuzz without ChatGPT
aria 🪸@ariadotwav

I cannot stress enough how absolutely cooked CS, Soft Eng, Comp Eng and basically any tech/IT major is. Literally no one in my cohort bothers to write their own code anymore. People just hand in labs that are fully vibecoded and pass with grades above 90% and the profs do NOTHING

@tuckerisonx @maerdtoof Do you ever use AI agents to code? They’re useful the same way spellcheck is useful. Spell and grammar check obv didn’t replace editors, right? AI isn’t replacing people. AI is making it an easier decision to fire the poorly skilled person and give the skilled person their work

@matcharistretto @camliekr this graph doesn't reflect varying degrees of regret, and online discourse amplifies degree of regret 10x a hundred people with a bum knee after knee replacement probably won't talk about it much, one person with permanently dry eyes would talk about it much

@livevergreenx @Derrytonevl3 @0rang3youglad well when the theater experience is upwards of $50 just for a ticket, popcorn, and a drink it’s no wonder people prefer their own homes 🤷🏽‍♀️ theaters, same with live music, have become luxuries which is not sustainable for the arts longterm

have to be incredibly immature to not grasp that ballet and opera are very old world arts with very niche followings and that's exactly what he fears happening to movies, not because it says anything about the quality of the art, but about the interest people have in it.

Looks like @cluely is almost fully out of money. they have removed all affiliates other than @im_roy_lee and @neelyweely23. Those badges cost $50 a month. I think they're spending too much on engineers since most of them have the original $400k pay package. They now pay 40% less
