Earlier this week, @CornellTPI hosted Dr. Michael J. Kelly (@bitstorian) for a Bitcoin Tech Talk, “Self-Hosting Bitcoin: A Live Demo”. Dr. Kelly walked students through the practical foundations of running their own Bitcoin infrastructure.

@CornellTPI Fellows had the unique opportunity to have breakfast with historian and former President of Iceland: Guðni Th. Jóhannesson. The President shared stories as a former Head of State and how he was able to connect with the Icelandic citizens and other political leaders.

At @CornellTPI, we sit at the intersection of emerging technology and national security, which means the ongoing standoff between the Pentagon and @AnthropicAI lands squarely in our wheelhouse. It involves questions about what AI systems should and shouldn’t do and more.

The exercise examined how allies navigate hybrid drone threats and critical infrastructure disruption in the rapidly changing Arctic. We were particularly honored to welcome President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson of Iceland as our special guest. Thank you to everyone who participated!
