BREAKING: ‘Imminent Danger of Death’ Three Palestine Action remand prisoners - Heba Muraisi, Kamran Ahmed and Lewie Chiaramello - are facing the real possibility of dying as they continue their hunger strike against their imprisonment. Heba reached 70 days without food on 11 January, while Kamran reached day 63 and Lewie, day 49. A fourth prisoner, Umer Khalid, also announced on January 11 that he had restarted his hunger strike. Muraisi, is, according to supporters, now struggling to breathe and suffering uncontrollable muscle spasms – possible signs of neurological damage. They are part of the Filton 24 who are awaiting trial for alleged criminal damage disrupting the manufacture of weapons in an Israeli-owned Elbit arms factory near Bristol.   The hunger strikers are demanding to be given immediate bail. The Crown Prosecution Service states that the maximum time a prisoner can spend on remand is six months. Yet Muraisi and Ahmed were arrested in November 2024, and are not due to be tried until June at the earliest, which means they will be remanded for 20 months. Chiaramello, who was arrested in July 2025, has a provisional court date in January 2027, which means 18 months in prison without trial. Bobby Sands died on 5 May 1981, on the 66th day of his hunger strike in Maze Prison in Northern Ireland while protesting for political prisoner status, becoming the first of ten Irish republicans to die that year.

British political prisoner Heba is now on day 66 of her hunger strike—the same day Irish Republican Bobby Sands tragically died in 1981, becoming the first of ten martyrs in that protest 🇮🇪🇵🇸. Kamran is on day 59 Lewie is on day 45. They are at risk of sudden death. 'These are kind, gentle human beings whose only crime was to attempt to prevent a genocide the British government has profited from. Instead of holding the arms manufacturers accountable for supplying weapons to be used to destroy and annihilate a people and a land, our government has instead chosen to direct its power at the people protesting the genocide. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. And 1984 is 2026. Please amplify and escalate for our prisoners and for Palestine. Act before it is too late.' instagram.com/p/DTNYjV7DOqX/…

Kamran is suffering with intermittent hearing loss. Heba can’t sleep on her side due to the pain on her face. T suffers from black outs when she stands. Lewie is 38 days into fasting with type 1 diabetes. The govt are in recess & have closed their doors on the hunger strikers.

@CorpWatchUK Drones, AI, autonomous systems — technologies marketed as solutions for safety and efficiency are increasingly designed for surveillance and warfare. This series isn’t meant to be a full exposé. Instead it’s a glimpse into how dual-use technologies are reshaping our societies.
