They’ve also brought up great points, social media comments ARE the fan minority, which I do have to consider in making statements like that.

It’s his weight. It’s always been his weight. Wrestling fans are fatphobic and don’t respect most wrestlers who are fat.

@Db4Life284 @_ladymadonna_ They are bigger guys and powerhouses yes, and they’ve gotten over due to presentation and character. And part of that presentation and character is the fact that they have a physique and feats of strength aside from their heavier weight.

@Assassin6687 Yes, a wrestlers physique certainly does affect the way the way fans take certain wrestlers seriously, AS WELL as the company, and it’s blind to act as if it doesn’t just because veteran characters with edge have been able to shine aside from it, but let’s pretend it’s no beard.

@corrwhattt So fans don’t like boring, bland character built, weak, charismaless wrestlers? If a wrestler like this just happens to be fat I don’t think it factors into why people dislike them. Like yes there are fatphobic wrestling fans but they’re a tiny minority.

Not saying they shouldn’t be building Rocky Starks because he’s main event material, however they literally built Cardona up, someone perfect to be at the top of the Midcard, to just have him ragdoll to new talent. He was better off in the Indies.
