Currently have a buyer who has an accepted offer on a house. Prior to that, They asked me what lender to choose. I told them there is a local guy that has done a nice job for me in the past. They chose one of the largest banks in the United States because it was "cheaper" We are 2 days from loan commitment and the buyers are completely miserable. Their choice doesn't return phone calls, doesn't work nights or weekends, and doesn't really seem to care if they get the loan or not. This is one reason why I cringe when I hear how it's so important to shop around and get the "best rate" on your mortgage. It's advice given by the same people who told the DOJ that agents only show houses that have the highest payout....completely clueless about the average home buyer and what is best for them.

@GrulkeLamonte 1. Get rid of the green cabinets 2. Provide a more detailed description about the interior of the home - features, amenities, appliances, etc. People have to live in the home, not the microbrewery down the street 3. Ensure your price is in line w/local comps & adjust accordingly
