SEGARCEA, ROMANIA—Rescue workers spent 11 hours trying to free a small child after he fell into a pipe. All attempts were unsuccessful. A 15-year-old bystander named Christian Marian Becheanu volunteered to help. Rescue workers strapped him into a harness and lowered him into the pipe. Moments later, Becheanu is pulled up feet first with the boy in his arms, (much to the father’s relief). This happened a few years ago but now that it’s making the rounds again I thought I’d touch on it. Amazing series of events.
