If Rihanna is saying that as a billionaire, with a supportive partner who pays the bills/is very hands on, assistants and a hands on family/friends, let this be a reminder to women who are thinking about having children. If you do NOT have a support network ie hands on helpful siblings, an available hands on mother / father and you are on a normal wage (to me that is £30-75k), a hands on partner or husband - not just one who comes home and think his shift is over after work-plan and think before having children. Ask yourself - if this man leaves or changes/does not help when the baby arrives, can I cope alone financially and emotionally? -is my job flexible? -can I afford childcare? -do I have a house to put me and my children in without having to beg the council? -can I afford market rent? Too many women don’t consider the worst case scenario and become massively depressed, bitter, disappointed or disillusioned about what motherhood entails especially in this current climate… then pass that stress and struggle onto their children. x.com/gabgonebad/sta…
