Gotta say, too, that it was fun watching the Ducks, just as it was watching the Mammoth. Lots of young talent in the League. Looking forward to watching teams like the Ducks, Mammoth and Sharks battle in the West for years to come.

Vegas got better as the series went on against Anaheim, just like it did against Utah. Struggled with speed early. Won in overtime in the middle. Dominated in a 5-1 win in Game 6. That sets up the Western Conference Final against Colorado, the top team in the regular season.

John Tortorella declined to speak with the media after advancing to the Western Conference finals. The Golden Knights also didn’t open the dressing room after the game. They brought 1 player into a side room to speak, along with the two who spoke at the podium. I’ve been covering the NHL for nine years and never seen either of those happen once.
