Amazing how many exciting British hop varieties were historically rejected by major breweries as not being the right type. Hops take a huge amount of time & money to test & grow, checking for mildew & commercially viable yield, I am constantly fascinated by them.

The tanks are full with lager again, ready for April onwards. Draught pints, we have missed you.

@BeerBods nice red lager Oki from @cotswoldbrewing. The beer has a nice malty taste to it and it's got a bright glint to the colour in the glass. Would class it as almost a half way point between a red ale and lager, could be a beer to convert my lager drinking mates #beerbods

I haven't been here in a while... Malty, hoppy and a more like a bitter IPA than a lager. Very mourish and not too heavy. @cotswoldbrewing smashing out another banger. 4.6/5 #BeerBods

A #beerbods by the Lager afficiando's @cotswoldbrewing A rustic, rye flavour shines through to give a depth of flavour you wouldn't ordinarily associate with Lager. A malty, caramel aftertaste finishes this off beautifully 👌
