It’s modern football, reality is if Kenna or Lampard gets relegated this year both will be seen in same bracket as Parker and won’t get a prem/ top job. Money, London & established squad are reasons over club size

Five years are not five days. We, as Benfica fans, perfectly understand why Fulham supporters feel a bit betrayed by the timing and the lack of any answers about a new contract. That says it all — he was loved, which means he did an awesome job. Fulham will probably struggle if they don’t invest the right way and if the next manager isn’t up to the same level.We wish you all the best of luck anyway. Fulham is a historic club!!

@twtduk Wouldn't begrudge him for going seeing as Fulham are an established Premier League side. But I would be annoyed as I feel he could go to a bigger and better club when he leaves, with a far higher ceiling than Fulham
