.@thecarlosking_ One you don't get credit for? Putting other cities on the map for reality TV shows. First Jacksonville, Detroit, and now Birmingham. I'm so looking forward to this. There's so much life outside of California, N.Y, Jersey, Miami.

Say what you will about Hunter Biden but he pegged these dudes exactly right he basically said they’re in love with the sound of their own voices & have been dining out on Obama stories for the last 2 decades & have no real connection to the base or current state of politics
James Raab 🇺🇸🇺🇦@JamesRaxz

No campaign should employ David Plouffe in any capacity. His series of disastrous interventions the last decade is utterly career ending. It’s automatically disqualifying to have him on any team.

I will never forgive her label for this bullshit. Awful first single. You don’t send a girl out with a school shooter lead single after her previous single was a #1 crosser smash about having a side piece 🤣. “Can’t Nobody” with a remix featuring Nelly to continue the story was a perfect recipe. Especially because Rich Harrison was HUGE at that time. Then get into “Past 12”. There were so many choices here. I’m well aware that this album was rushed but the single releases will always be jarring to me. And I’m pissed to this day over “Stole”. Beautiful song, horrible single.

“Migrate: the lost hit!” It must have been the E=MC2’s 2nd single. Without being a single, it entered the Hot 100. It’s a high-energy, radio club banger with a catchy summer-pop hook. It was the perfect transition to keep the momentum of the album with a more danceable sound.

@BlameEricLamont It sounded so dated and the formula by that point had been used by other artists as well. Them remaking that song over and over is so lazy and shameless it’s honestly hilarious to me 😭 and I remember the critics dragging her for using that same outdated formula.

@countessluMANN1 That bridge alone proved so many possibilities. Tip was literally the biggest rapper alive at that time. They fumbled. It was no longer 2005. They kept tryna repeat WBT and DFAU. It was bop time.

@BlameEricLamont I think they always tended to fall back on the ballads. You’re right, though the strategy should have been to “bring the heat.” Bye Bye was so fucking puzzling. The six songs you mentioned should have been singles at least five. And IBLULT deserved and deserves so much more.

After TMB, “Migrate” and IBLULT should have come back to back. “Bye Bye” was an automatic no. As you close the summertime you move into “Side Effects” with a cinematic video to match the song’s anthemic production. “Cruise Control” and “Last Kiss” were very solid options considering the time. They went for another WBT moment by tossing out two ballads with the B. Cox/JD formula and it’s not happening again. A trend they continued her next 2-3 eras. Definitely an age thing. As proven with “Type Dangerous”, Mariah is very bop appreciated.

Omg the nostalgia! That performance of “Demonstrate” had me in a chokehold.

@BlameEricLamont And then they started allowing artists to perform and showcase their talents!!!! It was perfection!! Jojo’s TGJ performances were amongst my favorites.

ThatGrapeJuice used to be one of the best blogs/websites to visit. If there was new music or overlooked music, they made sure to feature it. But, their website has become infested with ads and popups. You can’t even scroll or read anything. It reloads or crashes in seconds.
