This level of delusion should be studied. Drake is the by far the best-performing/most-anticipated rap artist right now and the man hasn't released an album in over a year lmao. The industry needs him, not the other way around.

@ForzaNocta_ I prefer Beth and Rip as characters compared to Kayce and it also just looks like it'll be a better show than Marshals.

This Jay Z interview, along with folks who actively went against Drake during the battle now trying to rewrite their actions is reminding me of when Kendrick and his camp started insisting Not Like Us was about love and unity and not about division driven by the hate of one man.

@Kameron_Hay Elder Statesmen always have a unique viewpoint of the game because they've seen all this shit before. I knew this shit was dunzo the moment I saw Kendrick stans legit believing the pedo shit and even going so far as to look for the supposed daughter.

@countmagic He said it a few days after NLU and The Heart Pt. 6 dropped and got crucified lol. Two years later a lot of other people saying the same thing now.

Questlove had this same sentiment and they kicked his back in but I would love to know what was the moment that led him to this realization

@mercymeinfinity the next thing you'll see is people who said the worst things about him in the heat of the battle slowly start to do a 180 on their stance. They'll go from "he's not a part of the culture" to "the game was more exciting when he was giving out features." It's already started.

@countmagic I think they really felt that they could hurt his mainstream viability. He swallows up market/streaming share and besides touring thats how these big/semi big artists get paid. Now that the complete opposite happened and he has massive demand, the back pedaling will get louder

They're slowly realizing how important Drake giving out features to these niggas helped the entire ecosystem. 2026 is about to be a terrible year for mainstream rap. All the major rap albums that have dropped so far have already fallen off and that's just the beginning.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Camel lips saying niggas need to collab instead of beef. Opposing all the weird ass niggas that was saying “rap is too buddy buddy”. Rap being buddy buddy is how everyone thrives. Now everyone suffering cause of division

@mercymeinfinity It's hilarious because the one nigga they tried to take out is gonna end up being the only person left who truly flourishes in the space lol.

The only rap album that's dropped this year that's had any sort of staying power is the Don Toliver joint.
