The bottom line: as of right now the evidence suggests hydroxychloroquine is NOT an effective treatment or prevention strategy. And it's not clear yet whether this drug carries additional risks for COVID-19 patients. (8/8)

If you're thinking about the recent Lancet paper that found patients treated with hydroxychloroquine were more likely to die, it has been retracted. There's a lot to unpack with that, but the main takeaway is we don't have enough information about increased mortality yet. (7/8)
