@cowboydip @TomSteyer Transactions happen at market prices that both parties freely agree to. You would quit any of your forms of employment to earn a dollar an hour more doing the same thing somewhere else. You can always just ask for charity if you need it.

For years, I've called for raising taxes on corporations and billionaires—like me. It's not only the right thing to do, it's good economics. When we tax the rich and invest in communities, the economy grows and we all benefit. For nearly half a century, the top tax rate on the wealthiest Americans was nearly double what it is today. During that time, we invested in education, supported workers, and built world-class infrastructure. The middle class expanded. Then came the backlash. Corporations and their allies, including then-California Governor Ronald Reagan, started calling for so-called trickle-down economics. In the 1980s, they slashed taxes on the rich, undermined workers' rights, and cut funding for essential services. It was more of the same under George W. Bush, and then Donald Trump. Today, California has a two-tiered tax system. While working people pay their fair share, the wealthiest people and corporations exploit tax loopholes to skip out on paying billions of dollars every year. As governor, I will close tax loopholes that allow the wealthiest commercial property owners, like Donald Trump, to avoid paying taxes based on what their skyscrapers, golf courses, and developments are actually worth.  I'll use the money to fund education, health care, and local services. It's time to stand up to corporations and invest in working Californians.

@cowboydip @TomSteyer Is something stopping you from working more substantial jobs? Asst managers at retail places make better than what you’re describing. Curious why the tax paying citizens should be funding what appears to be your lifestyle choices.

It’s highly likely that we could see two psychedelic drugs approved for three indications by end of this year: - Psilocybin for TRD (Compass) - Psilocybin for MDD (Usona) - Methylone for PTSD (Otsuka via Transcend) What does this mean for the future of mental health?

@cowboydip @TomSteyer Presumably you (or a partner…) have other sources of income. One might suppose market forces are telling you something but perhaps you are looking for a government subsidy for your business enterprise?

@cowboydip @TomSteyer Who is not getting paid a fair wage? Didn’t both parties agree to employment at will under common law? Would extracting wealth from the most productive people make it more or less possible to pay higher wages? Come on, these are easy and well-known topics.

@TomSteyer It is stupid economics to take from the most productive in society and to hand resources to the government to allocate based on politics rather then economic benefit. You act like California isn’t already doing this. In truth this is already the cause of most of CA’s problems.

@DrMakaryFDA Yea mushrooms Apparently they treat my alcoholism, PTSD ADHD, and my mood disorder, bipolar 2 better than any other medications I’ve ever took in last 20 years. unless my mental health professionals drink too much alcohol and like to just diagnose me with everything.

With all hands on deck to fight the climate crisis, California is thrilled to join the @IUCN. While Donald Trump sides with Big Oil, California is working with global partners to cut pollution, protect biodiversity, and deliver real climate solutions.

@SteveHiltonx Percocet, I’ve been seeing my psychiatrist for nearly 2 years and she still can’t remember my back pain and my problems with back pain…. So I don’t think these mental health professionals should be drinking and treating people with mental health issues.

The Democrats treat Californians like fools—thinking we don’t see what’s going on in our state. They spend billions in taxpayer dollars making all of the problems worse—homelessness, cost of living, the fraud—the list goes on! All the Democrats are the same and they will produce the same results. It’s time for change and it’s time to make California Golden Again!
