If my crying kid and I were separated on a flight for some reason (like a last minute purchase for a funeral) and someone wasn’t courteous enough to move, I’d sit my crying kid next to them and go sit in the other seat. They can deal with them for the duration of the flight. Sure, you’re entitled to be a jerk, but you never know what’s going on in other people’s lives.
