@2SqueakyWheels @missrobinson I'm not feeling defeated at all. I've been working on my own personal projects for the past 2.5 years and would encourage others to do the same.

@cpdm_twt @missrobinson Clearly life isn’t ‘fair’, so ask your self ‘what are you going to do about it’. Human connection & relationships are important.. most people don’t want to work with stoic robots.. build connections & trust, leverage relationships, like you have leveraged your technical skills❤️

We need to get over the idea that high income earners got there by working harder than other people. You don't think nurses, childcare workers, tradespeople etc don't work hard?

@2SqueakyWheels @missrobinson For context, I have 2 degrees and almost 10 yrs of work experience in office-based jobs. Getting to the "top" isn't just about hard work. Luck and connections play a part, and there are barriers to success. It's an unfair system and that's the problem.

@cpdm_twt @missrobinson True at times, but when you get past the gate keepers and get that position would you still hold this stance, or would you be promoting the value of your contributions and justifying your renumeration?

@2SqueakyWheels @missrobinson Nepotism plays its part. Sacrificed a lot - really. Many people sacrifice a lot, give up their life to care for family, and never have a well paying job.

@2SqueakyWheels @missrobinson Some people sacrifice a lot to get an education (10+ years at university) but are then unable to get into their profession of choice due to the job market or some clueless gatekeeper in HR.

@missrobinson Ridiculous statement, generally those in high paying positions have sacrificed a hell of a lot to get there.. not to take anything away from the wonderful, and in my opinion, undervalued (in terms of financial remuneration) professions mentioned above.. but they also chose them.

I made these shell displays this afternoon. Not quite right yet, but easy and inexpensive. I've had all the shells for many, many years. The larger vase was one I already had, so only had to pay for the craft sand and the small vase.
