Day 3 of junior year and my son is coloring maps again, just like he did for hours last year. Friends, please spread the word: coloring maps isn’t a standard. No crayons are needed in high school Social Studies. That time is better spent analyzing historical arguments.

3.1 Embrace Cognitive Similarity How all students learn is more similar than it is different. Our best bet for supporting mainstream students with SEND is to strengthen universal provision built around common cognitive architecture (rather than focussing on individual deficits).
