Industrial Session 4B on #ICDSDay2 - Chaired by Prof. Ananth Ramaswamy, Head, ICED, IISc. Dr. Selva Balan, Addl Director, CWPRS, as Co-Chair & Shri Ashish Kumar, Director (Instrumentation), CWC. Experts showcased DHARMA, AI drones & fiber-optic monitoring for smarter dam safety.

Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble CM of Karnataka, released key publications; basin plans, modelling reports and CWC’s design flood guidelines. In his inaugural address, he called for sustainable water governance, climate resilience and shared responsibility to secure India’s dams.

Shri C. R. Patil, Hon’ble Union Minister of MoJS, addressed the inaugural session via video message. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to stronger dam safety frameworks, regulatory reforms, global best practices, and capacity building to tackle ageing infrastructure & challenges.
