#WWE and Front Office Sports announced today a new content partnership that "will bring audiences closer to key WWE moments and tentpole events through access-driven, behind-the-scenes content." According to the press release, "during this dynamic content partnership, WWE and FOS will collaborate on the creative development and execution of storytelling projects surrounding marquee Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania, and international growth. FOS will showcase the behind-the-scenes of WWE tentpole events across its website and social channels beginning with WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19." You can "feel" something, but the numbers kinda tell a different story. There's no use using Nielsen numbers since they were all over the place late last year. But @wrestlenomics recently compared live event market-to-market comparisons for AEW and WWE (using data via @WrestleTix where numbers were available). Through Feb 28, for same-market same-event types, AEW was down for 6 shows from the prior event in the same market, and up for 5. WWE was down for 11 shows and up for 9. So if anything, both have been on the decline as far as tickets in the same market go.
