GENERAL SHUTTLES WILL BE AFFECTED AS FOLLOWS All residence shuttles will stop at 09:30 and resume at 11:20. Afternoon shuttles will stop at 14:30 and resume at 15:30. Students attending the Varsity Shield rugby are encouraged to utilise the D6 shuttles between 11:45 & 14:20.

TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS: Additional transport to the Services Festival departs from the normal shuttle points at the following campuses and times- to Bellville campus: • Mowbray – 11:00 • Wellington – 10:30 • Granger Bay – 10:45 • Newlands – 10:45 • District Six – 10:45

Invitation to Participate in the CPUT GBV Study As part of our institutional commitment to building a GBV-free campus, we invite current CPUT students and employees to share their perspectives and experiences related to gender-based violence (GBV) at the university. This confidential study seeks input from everyone at CPUT not only those who have personally experienced GBV, but also those who have observed it, supported others, or wish to contribute to creating a safer and more inclusive university environment. The study will help strengthen CPUT’s policies, prevention programmes, and support systems that are in line with the DHET GBV Policy Framework (2020) and the National Strategic Plan on GBVF (2020–2030). Your participation will contribute to understanding the extent of the issue and ensuring that institutional responses are evidence-based and survivor-centred. The CPUT soccer team demonstrated their skill and determination at the University Staff Sport and Wellness Tournament at Nelson Mandela University, confidently defending their trophy. Their group matches included: CPUT 1 – 0 Walter Sisulu University CPUT 3 – 1 University of Johannesburg CPUT 5 – 1 University of Limpopo The team advanced through the quarterfinals with an 8-7 penalty shootout victory over Rhodes University after a 1-1 draw, followed by a solid 2-0 win against Wits University in the semifinals. In a hard-fought final, they secured the title with a 1-0 victory over Sol Plaatje University. Meanwhile, the women’s netball team claimed silver medal status. With one draw and one win in the group stages, they advanced to the quarterfinals, winning 27-22 against the University of Fort Hare. They edged out Nelson Mandela University 21-20 in the semifinals but concluded the tournament with a 24-35 loss to the University of Limpopo in the final.
