this is crazy. hopper is actually the one who did the fakeout plan with Kali. then tells El there is an option where she doesnt have to sacrifice herself while driving with her to the mac-z. then pretends he allowed her to off herself fully knowing this is just kali's projection

HOLY SHIT!! GUYS THEY COMPLETELY CHANGED THE ENDING TO MAKE IT MORE AMBIGUOUS. Hopper knows about El's fakeout and is on it. Kay and Akers were supposed to kill each other. Hopper learns about the new plan from Kali. It explains his acting on the bench. Wtf this is SO MUCH better
