2025 onwards marks a big change for me . I've stepped back from making large numbers of working pots each winter and concentrating on shows from now onwards. My hands simply won't allow me to continue doing the large amounts.

This winter will be 1st in a very long time that I won't be making lots of pots. Standing down from that now so only doing the shows and private orders. Looking forwards to a winter not outside in all weather's

Been a blast over the many years making these pots . Now standing back from making the large numbers each winter . I will be doing the shows still but giving the hands a rest from cold wet winters making them .

@BlickyIan they do and they work well when maintained and properly adjusted , adjustment is needed from time to time as they do not self adjust . don't buy cheap parts only good branded ones , adjustment of freeplay of master cylinder is critical as well

I have always wanted an old landrover .... now I have one .... why didn't anyone tell Me before they don't actually have ( amongst other stuff ) any brakes !!

We have taken the decision to sell off some of this years pots, if interested PM me for details etc, strictly first come basis and collection from Plymouth area , can be fished or used as a decorative pieces etc

Jean wanted one of my traditional willow lobster pots made minus the base . This is what it's for. Basically used as a garden decoration to support climbing flowers etc in this case a fuchsia

Great opening event on my fixtures for this year at @sidseafest .as always they put on a great event for all the family. They set the bar high for others to follow. This was towards the end of day before the evenings music

@cssbutler Sadly no . They wouldn't be strong enough to fish without the vase woven in . The base is woven from the rods that make the overall shoe of the pot. This also gives rigidity to it . Simply having a net bottom would cause the pot to deform when lifting as the pic shows

@crabpotdave so does that mean we can replace the base with net, and have stackable pots ? do you have any photos of ones without the base ?

Starting to take shape now. Leaving the base of the pot undone enables plants to grow up and through the pot. traditionallobsterpots.co.uk
