@Granty_10 @BrochUnited @andygrantos Andy /Granty a wee trip to culter fc 😂 We beat them in Scot Amat Cup ‘78 2-1 at home. They were a top side at the time They’d a marvellous man at the helm called Albert Moir who passed a few years ago He helped the Rovers many times after that when we played up there. 👍

We’re delighted we’ve successfully applied to The Howdens Game Changer Programme where Howdens, in partnership with the Scottish FA will provide for free, a complete new kitchen for the Rovers pavilion. We’ll provide updates as the work progresses. #HowdensGameChanger #Howdens

Delighted to announce David Grant into the Catchup Lowland League Hall of Fame. Granty bounced from amateur, junior, and senior football, during the earlier years of his career, featuring for clubs such as Milton AFC, Cambusbarron, Bannockburn, Berwick Rangers, East Stirlingshire, and Sauchie. In 2015, he had a short stint with Cumbernauld Colts before being signed by Camelon, who were managed by John Sludden at the time. He would rejoin Shire, with John Sludden becoming manager in 2016. A prolific front three of David Grant, Andy Rodgers, and Paul Sludden, led the way to a most goals scored in a season record for the Lowland League, that is yet to be beaten to this day, with 107 goals scored in 30 games. Granty would claim top scorer in the league with 35 goals, narrowly beating out teammate Andy Rodgers, who scored 33 league goals, and Shire finishing second in the league. He would rejoin Sauchie after leaving the Shire, and transferred to Darvel in 2019, where he spent two seasons. He signed with Dunipace and was part of their delayed South Challenge Cup winning side, scoring the winning goal in the final against Broomhill. Currently, Granty is back playing amateur football with Greenock High School Former Pupils AFC and is still prolific as ever scoring a record of 47 goals during the 2023/24 season.

In a really nice gesture David sent his gloves through this week and Mason and Lewis were delighted to receive them which was much appreciated by the boys. Well done David @campsieminerva @ScotAmFASelect

Our 2012’s were on Ballboy duties at the recent Scottish Amateur FA v Northern AFL (Ireland) game during which two of them asked Scotland goalkeeper David Tait for his gloves. David missed the boys after the game but didn’t forget their request.
