Educators: in what ways is your practice actively anti-racist? It’s not enough to be not racist. It’s not enough to “diversify” the curriculum/images/texts. You cannot be anti-racist until to learn to see how racism is designed into everything we do. You have to design it out.

@Penny_Ten This is the most undiverse audience. I am still aiming to write a piece called the only one in the room. Where did they send the invites?

How many of the predominantly white people who were invited thought “I bet this will be a white majority space, I should ensure that more voices are included by insisting on racially diverse representation as a condition of my attendance”? And who is cropped out? Notice that?

This is the start of the new season we needed.

We need urgent intervention from our political leaders. No screening to assess the young people. Schools not able to manage the behaviour, just leads to an increase in exclusions.

Why are we still discriminating about hair? We are in 2023 and the young lady is in school. This has to stop!
