@latest88468 @nypost Just think, if she had actually gone to law school, she could’ve been a lawyer by now, because teachers push you and make you rethink the things you get wrong. Can’t have that if you’re a Kardashian though I guess.

@LadyBleach @FearInherent @dieworkwear On average adult women did have 4 fewer teeth an adult men but that’s because the average # of children was around 4 and, especially before modern medicine and dental care, a woman would lose on average one toothed per child. At least that’s according to a podcast I heard fr!
English

@FearInherent @dieworkwear Like how Aristotle thought women had fewer teeth and therefore they were monstrous

@weddingpresent Did you make a stop at Wall Drug?

The Wedding Present are on tour in North America, performing Seamonsters. Today is a travel day, however, so we popped over to see the heads in the hills of South Dakota. Tomorrow we’re in Denver! scopitones.co.uk/forthcomingcon…

@weddingpresent Minneapolis show was amazing - thank you for returning 2 years in a row!

The Wedding Present are playing Seamonsters on tour across North America. There’s no concert today, though. Instead we’re driving from Minnesota to South Dakota. scopitones.co.uk/forthcomingcon…

@TeahCartel I know you are not a misinformation spreader but your responses so far are exactly what antivaxxers, pseudoscience pushers, and social/political disinformation posters say. I didn’t come looking for a fight - I generally appreciate your posts - but you can do better

Before Johnny Cash made his mark on the country music scene, the "Man in Black" served in the US Air Force as a radio intercept officer. After his training in Texas, the Air Force sent him to Landsberg, West Germany, where he monitored Soviet radio traffic.
Cash's work in Germany was top secret, and in March 1953, he intercepted and transcribed word of Joseph Stalin's passing

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan Where do you think the word “Easter” comes from? Also; The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment prohibits govt from creating an official state religion, favoring one religion over another, or preferring religion over non-religion. Hope that helps!
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan Apparently you don't understand what Easter is supposed be about. The point is she made a public comment about Easter and FAILED to mention the main point about easter. She hijacked a holiday to make a secular speech. She is also a radical loon.
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan You asked a question about bunnies and eggs. I answered by explaining it is another pagan tradition adopted by Christian sects. I also stated I did not like the commercialization of religious holidays. You said it is a ridiculous viewpoint. You were just fishing for an argument.
English

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan lol. What gotcha?
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan So still looking for a gotcha. Pathetic.
English

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan Not offended, never felt bad so no need to feel better. I just thought your take was ridiculous. Still is
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan Hope you feel better now. Apparently you were offended. Why bother asking someone a question if your intent is to fish for a gotcha?
English

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan Good for you! And 2000+ years ago you would have been just as against the christianization of Roman holy days (or whatever pre-Christian religion your ancestors held). People are free, as Christian’s historically have so aptly shown, to pick and choose traditions & beliefs
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan I don't agree with commercialization of religious holidays. I do not think that selling "Christmas" items as early as September is any way religious. And I do not buy in to bunnies, reindeer, or any thing similar. I choose to not participate in any of it.
English

@OG_Peach3 @LtGovFlanagan I omitted billion. The world is 14 billion years old. The earth about 5 billion. Thanks for catching my omission!
English

Jesus (the eternal Logos, per John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:16-17) didn't 'make the world' as a 30-something Jewish carpenter in the 1st century. Christians have always taught He’s the pre-existent second Person of the Trinity through whom the universe was created before His incarnation ~2,000 years ago.
The 'world is 14-ish years old' line is just you inventing a strawman—no one in that thread claimed that. (Young-earth folks usually say ~6,000 years, not 14. Pick a lane.)
It’s basic Trinitarian theology, not a timeline gotcha. If your beef is with the Lt. Gov.’s secular Easter remix, say that. Pretending Christians don’t understand their own book is low-effort.

English

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan So, according to you, Christians can adopt pagan traditions but non-Christians can’t return the favor?
Why did you say this:
Easter is a Christian celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Not bunny rabbit or eggs or anything you said.
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan Pagan in origin but over time adopted in to Christian culture and holidays. There are many examples but these days a lot of things are just used for commercial exploitation. Selling stuff that really has nothing to do with the actual holiday has become the norm.
English

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan So not Christian then
English

@craftyplanet @LtGovFlanagan Adopted pagan traditions like other holidays. Christmas is a good example with trees and mistletoe, etc…
English

@stop_hating_ppl @LtGovFlanagan So why all the bunnies and eggs?
English

@LtGovFlanagan Why are you such a hypocrite? Easter is a Christian celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Not bunny rabbit or eggs or anything you said. Stop politicizing random religious observances from different faiths.
