I totally understand why The Real Guardrail Guy would focus so much of his life into correcting unsafe roadsides that kill people. If only we could understand that these fatalities are personal, not statistics. Pay attention when he observes something that is not right.

My daughter died hitting the end terminal in the background in 2016. Just noticed today that @myTDOT has a 3 foot UNBOLTED overlap in the concrete transition. @MarkNagiTDOT does the $300k cap on damages influence TDOT's maintenance priorities.

The Real Guardrail Guy has raised this important question that I have mentioned on numerous occasions. Regardless of driver impairment, if other factors led to collision consequences clearly they must be reported, not hidden.

Moral Dilemma Question? Suppose a driver is intoxicated and a manufacturer committed fraud. How do you hold both parties responsible? Should a guilty manufacturer be let off the hook because a driver has also done something wrong?

This problem is not just apparent in Tampa Flor, it exists continually in police reports in Ontario Canada. It ought to be made clear that police have a duty to report ALL dangers to the travelling public so that those dangers can be fixed or minimized where possible.

Why do so many police reports fail to accurately describe what happened in a crash. I am not looking for criticism I legit want to understand how this occurs. The @FHPTampa report for @sbexit261 daughter did not note the guardrail speared through this car and his daughter.

Very true. And this system must change. Judges must face accountability like everyone else in our society. But who will make that change happen?

Unfortunately lawyers are often unable to criticize inappropriate behaviour by judges. The kind of judge who acts inappropriately is likely to retaliate, and the lawyer can expect never to win a case before that judge or his colleagues again. A flaw in our justice system. cnn.com/2026/04/04/us/…
