Years ago, I got on a bus and sat next to an elderly man wearing a Rugrats shirt. Told him I watched the show as a kid, and we talked about it the whole trip. He told me he didn't wear that shirt at home and only when he went out because his son said he looked ridiculous in it+

@X0LoveHashiraX0 It made me feel bad rather than angry. Apparently, the old man raised his son alone because his partner died in childbirth, and then his son became independent very early in his teens. The only thing he has left is his interest for cartoon shows and such, iirc.
