@karthikponna19 MacBooks will actually use the power from the outlet itself instead of the battery when they're plugged in. You can see it yourself clicking the battery icon in the menu bar. Says something like "Power Source: Power Adapter". Unplug it and it switches over to the battery.

does keeping a laptop plugged in at 100% while using it ruin the battery ?
