Not many remained. Another friend told me she still loved me ‘under all the Zionist rhetoric’. I told her I wish I could rip the honor of attending my son’s birth out of her very soul. I’m grateful for my black and white thinking. I’m grateful I had the strength to not let these relationships fester but pro actively told these people our friendship was over. I have no regrets about this.
