Another constructive day at the nursery, with Chris making more compost bins. Alex made a mouse-proof bench and sorted out a sprinkler for the raised beds from 'a lot of spare parts'. Extra visits are being made to the nursezry to keep the young trees well watered.

A select band of Hugh, Alex, Tops, Angus and Peter built and filled our new bed today. And yes it was sweltering hot. So Ros turned up for the last hour and accidentally watered everyone.

Collecting willow seeds for the Millennium Seed Project (KEW) at Torrs Warren this week. A very warm day and a very successful one with our 3 target species for this year all achieved at once.

Lunchtime at the nursery. Alex is having to cut Liz's wonderful Rhubarb and custard cake to spread the portions further. Twelve of us today and Angus managed 2 slices.
