CRES Forum today published a white paper “Crossing the Innovation Valley of Death: Federal Policy for American Energy Dominance,” authored by Michael Yancey, Director of Congressional Policy at CRES Forum. The paper examines the structural barriers preventing American energy technologies from reaching commercial scale, and what Congress can do about it. “Innovation has been the center point of American culture from the invention of the solar cell to the pioneering of hydraulic fracturing, but today foreign adversaries rival, and in some measures have surpassed, U.S. investment in energy research and development. Winning the energy innovation race is not just an environmental or economic imperative, it is a matter of national security.” - @heather_reams, CRES Forum President & CEO Read the full white paper: cresforum.org/publications/c…

On Tuesday, we co-hosted "Heatmap in D.C.: The Path to Energy Growth" with @heatmap_news — a conversation on fixing America's permitting system and building the energy infrastructure our nation needs. @robinsonmeyer sat down with @RepMikeLawler, who made it clear: permitting reform is not optional, it is essential. @goodjillian sat down with CRES Forum President & CEO @Heather_Reams to discuss meeting rising energy demand and how Congress is stepping up for America's energy future. America's energy dominance depends on an all-of-the-above strategy and a faster, more structured permitting process. 💪 Thanks to everyone who joined us! (📸Taylor Mickal)
