One of the biggest mistakes I see in recruiting... 👇 Young players acting like certain opportunities are "beneath" them. A chance to play college baseball...at the NCAA Division I, II, III, JUCO, or NAIA level - is something very few people ever get. Someone believes in you. Someone is willing to invest time, money, coaching, and a roster spot in your future. That's not something to take for granted. That's something to be humbled by. Be grateful. Keep developing. Keep earning. The logo on the jersey doesn't determine how far you'll go. Your work ethic, development, and performance does. ⚾️

Baseball Truths: Part 2 At 20 years old, I reached AAA. I thought the Major Leagues were getting close. Thirty days later, I was having shoulder surgery. Just like that, the conversation changed. No longer: "How fast can I move up?" Now it was: "Will I ever be the same player again?" That's when I learned one of baseball's hardest truths: Failure is inevitable. Injuries. Slumps. Getting cut. Losing your spot. Getting overlooked. Nobody escapes them. The game doesn't reward the players who never fail. It rewards the players who keep showing up when failure gives them every reason not to.
